Chairman Moon Joo-hyun of Comprehensive Real Estate and Finance MDM Group: "Please Use for Scholarships and Improving Educational Environment"

The owner chairman of the comprehensive real estate finance group ‘MDM’ generously donated 500 million KRW to Dongseo University.
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 10th that MDM Group, which covers everything from real estate development to trusts, REITs, capital, and asset management, donated 500 million KRW as a development fund to be used for scholarships and improving the educational environment for Dongseo students.
At 11:30 a.m. on the same day, President Jang Je-guk presented a plaque of appreciation at the donation ceremony held at the MDM Group headquarters on Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The event was attended by Moon Joo-hyun, Chairman of MDM Group; Kim In-hoe, Vice Chairman; Kim Kyu-chul, Vice Chairman; Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University; and Kim Dae-sik, Vice President of External Cooperation.
Chairman Moon Joo-hyun said, “When I was at my most difficult time, I was able to finish university with the help of others, and I promised myself that I would succeed and help struggling students.”
Chairman Moon added, “Please use this money so that Dongseo University students can focus on their studies and self-development activities in a better environment and with improved facilities.”
President Jang Je-guk expressed his gratitude, saying, “Chairman Moon Joo-hyun is a pioneer in South Korea’s real estate development and finance sector who overcame numerous difficulties with outstanding insight and a spirit of challenge. We will make good use of this precious fund donated for nurturing future talents and university development.”
Founded in 1998, MDM Group has grown into a comprehensive real estate finance group with assets worth 5 trillion KRW, including subsidiaries such as Korea Asset Trust, a real estate trust company, and Korea Asset Capital, a credit finance company.
Chairman Moon Joo-hyun established the ‘Moon Joo Scholarship Foundation’ in 2001 and has contributed a total of 58 billion KRW to date, actively engaging in social contribution activities by awarding scholarships exceeding 7 billion KRW to over 3,500 students.
