[Asia Economy Reporters Lee Ji-eun and Park Joon-yi] President Moon Jae-in, during a press conference marking his 4th anniversary in office, stated that "North Korea will now have its final moment of judgment" and expressed his intention to lead North Korea toward dialogue.

At the press conference held at the Blue House on the 10th, President Moon said, "There have been various reactions from North Korea, but I do not believe their response means a refusal to engage in dialogue."

President Moon added, "Until now, it has been a period of waiting to see how the new U.S. administration would establish its North Korea policy," and continued, "The U.S. also thought it was undesirable for dialogue to be cut off for a long time, so from the beginning, they closely cooperated with our government and quickly established their North Korea policy."

President Moon emphasized, "Although the U.S. North Korea policy has not been fully announced, it largely aligns with our government's policy," and explained, "The goal is complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, starting from the foundation of the Singapore Declaration, and approaching the issue diplomatically in a gradual, phased, practical, and flexible manner."

President Moon stated, "I believe North Korea will now have its final moment of judgment," and added, "Since the opportunity to sit down and negotiate once again has been given, I hope North Korea will respond positively."
