Kim Ki-hyun: "4 Years of Moon Administration, Amateur Shaman Government and Dark History of Republic of Korea"

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Kim Ki-hyun, Acting Party Leader and Floor Leader of the People Power Party, criticized the Moon Jae-in administration, which marked its 4th anniversary, as an "amateur fortune-teller regime" and "the most humiliating dark history since the establishment of the government."

On the 10th, Acting Leader Kim said at the People Power Party Emergency Committee meeting, "The four years of the Moon Jae-in administration, marked by double standards, have become a dark chapter in the history of the Republic of Korea," and urged, "I hope they will overcome the crisis through nonpartisan communication, unity, and cooperation."

He criticized, "The past four years, which claimed people first and emphasized fairness, justice, and equality, can be said to have properly demonstrated the essence of an amateur fortune-teller regime." Acting Leader Kim pointed out, "They confined the people and opposition parties like fish in a fish farm cage and lectured and tamed them as if they were moral teachers," adding, "The ruling class itself drove Korea into conflict and division over the past four years with all kinds of privileges, foul play, illegality, law evasion, lies, and hypocrisy."

He continued, "Jobs disappeared and income disparity widened due to income-led growth (Soju-seong) ? which is not even found in economics textbooks ? and impulsive welfare policies without planning," and criticized, "The nuclear phase-out policy and the three real estate laws, pushed through ignoring opposition parties, stifled our competitive industrial ecosystem and trampled on the dreams of ordinary people to own homes amid soaring house prices and rent."

Acting Leader Kim criticized, "The government's carelessness in vaccine procurement exposed threats to the lives of our people, and while showing a fake peace show to appease North Korea, it only helped North Korea strengthen its nuclear armament instead of denuclearization."

He said, "I ask President Moon not to waste any more time in the remaining one year in the face of national crises." To this end, Acting Leader Kim insisted, "In the remaining year, above all, the people, government, and ruling and opposition parties must unite as one, and leadership for a grand compromise through nonpartisan communication, unity, and cooperation must be shown."

Regarding this, he stated, "The People Power Party proposed the formation of a ruling-opposition-government consultative body to jointly solve real estate issues and proposed a parliamentary vaccine delegation for smooth vaccine procurement, but there has been silence for over a week," and demanded, "We again request the government and ruling party, who have not yet responded, to reply by today."

Meanwhile, Acting Leader Kim demanded the dismissal of Kim Oe-sook, Chief Secretary for Personnel Affairs, in relation to the appointments of candidates Im Hye-sook for the Ministry of Science and ICT, Park Jun-young for the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and Noh Hyung-wook for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
