DB Insurance Donates 30 Million Won for Treatment to Patients with Rare and Intractable Diseases

Delivery of Medical Expenses for Rare and Intractable Disease Patients for 11 Years Since 2011

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] DB Insurance announced on the 10th that it has donated 30 million KRW in medical expenses to the Korea Rare and Intractable Disease Association to help children suffering from rare and intractable diseases.

The donation ceremony held on the 6th was conducted in compliance with government-recommended COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing masks and social distancing.

The donated medical expenses were raised through a "customer participation donation event," where DB Insurance customers automatically participated in the donation by using insurance contract services via the mobile application (app) and website from December 17 last year to January 31 this year.

DB Insurance has supported a total of 141 patients with 340 million KRW in medical expenses over the past 11 years for children suffering from rare and intractable diseases and their families. It also continues sponsorship activities, such as inviting patient families to the games of the Wonju DB Promy basketball team.

A DB Insurance official said, "We will continue to support children suffering from rare and intractable diseases and do our best as a company fulfilling social responsibility by accompanying them."
