[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Fifteen additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, including those related to a mobile phone store.
According to Goyang City health authorities as of 4 p.m. on the 9th, there were 4 cases related to an online mobile phone store in Ilsandong-gu, 2 cases related to a restaurant in Deogyang-gu, 3 cases from contact with confirmed patients from other regions, 3 cases of family transmission, and 3 others under investigation for infection routes.
By region, there were 6 cases in Deogyang-gu, 5 in Ilsandong-gu, 3 in Ilsanseo-gu, and 1 from another region.
Regarding the online mobile phone store, 4 Goyang residents were confirmed positive, and 2 related cases were confirmed from other regions, bringing the cumulative total to 23 cases.
For the restaurant in Deogyang-gu, 2 additional cases were confirmed, including 1 restaurant worker and 1 visitor. Since the first confirmed case on the 4th, the cumulative total related to this cluster is 35 cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Goyang City as of today is 2,994, with 2,891 confirmed cases among Goyang residents (2,803 domestic infections and 88 overseas infections).
