US April Jobs Increase by 266,000... Falls Short of Expectations

[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] The U.S. Department of Labor announced on the 7th (local time) that nonfarm payrolls increased by 266,000 in April.

U.S. jobs have continued to grow for four consecutive months this year. However, this fell significantly short of the market forecast of an increase of 1 million jobs.

The unemployment rate rose by 0.1% from 6% in the previous month to 6.1%.
