[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 7th, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a policy meeting inviting provincial council members for communication and cooperation in the small conference room of the county office, attended by County Governor Seo Chun-soo, Provincial Council Member Kim Jae-woong, the deputy governor, heads of departments, and section chiefs.

The meeting was held to invite Kim Jae-woong, a Gyeongnam Provincial Council member elected in the April 7 by-election, to explain the current status of Hamyang-gun and to discuss major pending projects together.

Before the official meeting, Governor Seo said, “Today is the first meeting to think about the future of Hamyang together with the council member and to find solutions,” adding, “Given our county’s limited financial conditions, support from the province is more important than anything else, so I ask for the council member’s valuable opinions and active cooperation.”

During the main meeting, various opinions were exchanged regarding major pending projects, including explanations of current projects, reporting of requests, and appeals for active cooperation.

Provincial Council Member Kim Jae-woong stated, “I will do my best for the development of our county by finding solutions to local issues, visiting each department at the provincial office to explain the necessity of projects, and actively cooperating to secure budgets.”

After this meeting, Governor Seo and Council Member Kim promised to frequently create opportunities to discuss and contemplate county administration together, agreeing to join forces for regional development and resolving residents’ inconveniences.
