Providing Welfare Enhancement Programs for People with Disabilities and the Elderly
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongnam San-encheong Welfare Center announced on the 7th that it was selected as the highest grade (Comprehensive A) institution in the '2020 National Social Welfare Facility Evaluation' recently announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The National Social Welfare Facility Evaluation is conducted every three years by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Social Security Information Service targeting social welfare facilities nationwide.
It was conducted based on a total of 37 indicators in six areas including facilities and environment, finance and organizational operation, programs and services, users' rights, community relations, and overall facility operation.
San-encheong Welfare Center, which opened in February 2017 as a specialized welfare center for the disabled and elderly in Sancheong-gun, is entrusted and operated by the Hanil Welfare Foundation, a social welfare corporation. It provides various programs to promote the welfare of local disabled people and the elderly.
Director Kim Soon-ok said, "Although this is the first evaluation since the opening, I believe the result of being rated the highest grade is the outcome achieved through Sancheong-gun's active support and the passion of the staff," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide services that reflect the needs of the disabled, elderly, and local residents."
