Gyeongnam Province Reports 21 New COVID-19 Cases... Jinju 9, Sacheon 5, Gimhae 2, etc. (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM on the 7th, 21 new confirmed cases occurred since 5 PM the previous day.

By region, there are 9 in Jinju, 5 in Sacheon, 2 in Gimhae, and 1 each in Goseong, Hadong, Hamyang, Geochang, and Hapcheon.

The 9 confirmed cases in Jinju are all family members of confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as numbers 4123 to 4130 and 4141.

Among the confirmed cases in Sacheon, 2 are related to a Sacheon entertainment establishment; they tested positive while in quarantine and have been classified as numbers 433 and 4134. This brings the total number of confirmed cases related to the Sacheon entertainment establishment to 53.

Two others tested positive while in quarantine as contacts of confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as numbers 4132 and 4136.

The remaining one tested positive after symptom onset and has been classified as number 4135.

The 2 confirmed cases in Gimhae are family members of confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as numbers 4121 and 4122.

The confirmed cases in Geochang (1), Goseong (1), and Hapcheon (1) are family members of confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as numbers 4131, 4137, and 4140 respectively.

The confirmed case in Hadong (1) tested positive after symptom onset and has been classified as number 4139.

The confirmed case in Hamyang (1) tested positive after contact with a confirmed case from another region and has been classified as number 4138.

Additionally, health authorities conducted tests on a total of 694 people related to a high school in Jinju attended by case number 4097.

As a result of the tests, excluding the additional confirmed case number 4111 from the previous day, 668 tested negative and 25 are still under testing.

Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to a total of 4,138 (397 hospitalized, 3,725 discharged, 16 deceased).
