Moasoft "Designated as SW Specialized Workforce Training Institution (SWETI) by Ministry of Science and ICT"

- Aiming to Train SW, AI, and Big Data Experts Specialized in National Defense Weapon System Development

Smart defense specialist company MoaSoft (CEO Jang Ju-su) announced on the 4th that it has been designated as a ‘Software (SW) Specialized Workforce Training Institution (hereinafter SWETI)’ selected by the Ministry of Science and ICT (No. 2021-17).

The SWETI project is an education and training program started in July 2013 to cultivate and improve the quality of SW specialized personnel in accordance with Article 22 Paragraph 2 of the Software Industry Promotion Act, Article 23 Paragraph 5 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, and Article 12 Paragraph 3 of the Enforcement Rules of the same Act. Companies operating software workforce training programs apply and are finally selected through document screening and presentation evaluation by an evaluation committee based on curriculum, educational facilities and equipment, specialized teaching staff, SW specialized education promotion and operation plans, education operation organization, and budget.

MoaSoft aims to “train SW, AI, and Big Data experts specialized in defense weapon system development” and plans to promote the advancement of the defense industry by providing customized education tailored to defense demand companies based on technology demand in collaboration with the Ministry of National Defense, Defense Acquisition Program Administration, and major defense companies (LIG Nex1, Hanwha, Hanwha Systems, Hyundai Rotem, KAI, Korean Air, etc.). It will educate the technologies necessary for the weapon system SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and expand the competitiveness of defense weapon system SW specialized personnel.

MoaSoft plans to develop and operate customized education programs for defense demand companies on various topics such as DO-178C process training for acquiring aviation SW certification, static and dynamic testing courses using automated tools, software security testing for defense weapon systems, software reliability testing for defense weapon systems, basic Kalman Filter courses, Bayesian Learning & MCMC methods courses, and digital twin construction using ANSYS.

CEO Jang Ju-su of MoaSoft emphasized, “In future battlefields, advanced weapon technology and the degree of innovation will determine victory or defeat. To gain an advantage in future battlefields, it is essential to apply the core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution to weapon systems.
