Hampyeong-gun and Local Accommodation Businesses Sign Agreement to Designate Temporary Housing Facilities for Disaster Victims

According to the county on the 6th, on the 4th, the county signed a 'Temporary Housing Facility Designation Agreement' with representatives of public and private lodging businesses in the area for emergency relief of disaster victims.

This agreement was prepared to quickly secure and provide independent temporary housing facilities in the event of disaster victims caused by various disasters, to prevent mass infections of infectious diseases among disaster victims and to promote their living stability.

With this agreement, the county additionally designated 8 public and private lodging facilities (4 public, 4 private), securing temporary housing facilities with 181 rooms and a capacity of 724 people (based on 4 people per room).

The public and private lodging facilities that signed the agreement will be converted and operated as exclusive temporary housing facilities for disaster victims immediately upon occurrence of disaster victims.

With this agreement, the existing 32 designated temporary housing facilities, which are schools, government offices, senior centers, and other group living facilities, require strengthened prevention and blocking of mass infectious diseases, privacy protection, and hygiene management, and it is expected to contribute to safer and faster disaster relief.

County Governor Lee Sang-ik said, “Through this agreement, we will do our best to respond quickly and efficiently to various disaster situations and to ensure stable living for disaster victims.”
