Gyeongnam Province Reports 19 New COVID-19 Cases... 7 in Sacheon, 6 in Jinju, etc. (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 6th at 1:30 PM that 19 new confirmed cases occurred since 5 PM the previous day.

By region, there are 7 in Sacheon, 6 in Jinju, 2 in Yangsan, and 1 each in Gimhae, Miryang, Haman, and Sancheong.

Among the confirmed cases in Sacheon, 6 were contacts of confirmed cases within the province, testing positive as 3 family members of existing confirmed cases, 2 coworkers, and 1 acquaintance, classified as cases 4099, 4100, and 4102 to 4105.

The remaining 1 is a worker at a Sacheon entertainment establishment who tested positive and was classified as case 4101. This brings the cumulative confirmed cases related to Sacheon entertainment establishments to 51.

Among the confirmed cases in Jinju, 3 were contacts of confirmed cases within the province, with 3 being family members of confirmed cases and 1 a student at a Jinju high school, testing positive and classified as cases 4108, 4110, and 4111.

After case 4097, a student at the school, was initially confirmed the previous day, 24 students and 6 staff members were tested. As a result, case 4111 was additionally confirmed positive, 26 tested negative, and 3 are still under testing.

Jinju quarantine authorities plan to set up a screening clinic at the school to conduct mass testing for about 600 students and staff.

Two cases are overseas entrants, classified as cases 4112 and 4113.

The remaining 1 case is related to a Jinju karaoke practice room; the individual tested positive before release from quarantine and was classified as case 4109. This brings the cumulative confirmed cases related to karaoke practice rooms in Jinju to 21.

The 2 confirmed cases in Yangsan are family members of confirmed cases from within and outside the province, classified as cases 4115 and 4116.

The 1 confirmed case in Gimhae is related to a Gimhae tutoring academy, testing positive and classified as case 4106. This brings the cumulative confirmed cases related to the tutoring academy in Gimhae to 54.

The 1 confirmed case in Miryang is a coworker of a confirmed case within the province who developed symptoms during quarantine and tested positive, classified as case 4098.

The 1 confirmed case in Haman tested positive during an examination for military enlistment and was classified as case 4107. The infection route is under investigation.

The 1 confirmed case in Sancheong is a coworker of a confirmed case within the province, testing positive and classified as case 4114.

Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province increased to 4,113 (431 hospitalized, 3,666 discharged, 16 deceased).
