ADT Caps Partners with AWS to Enter the 'Smart Energy Security Business'

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] ADT Caps announced on the 6th that it is entering the cloud security business for the smart energy industry in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The two companies will participate in the virtual power plant security project of the Smart Energy Town in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, scheduled for completion next year.

ADT Caps and AWS will be responsible for the security design, system construction, and operation of the virtual power plant built on a cloud-based platform, establishing the virtual power plant infrastructure.

The virtual power plant integrates and manages surplus electricity from renewable energy generation facilities such as hydrogen fuel and solar power through cloud-based software. It is recognized as a core infrastructure of the smart energy industry.

AWS will provide ADT Caps with a big data analytics platform for renewable energy production, utilization, and management. ADT Caps plans to build a cloud security system in cooperation with AWS. After the completion of the virtual power plant, it will be responsible for security operations, preventing threats and responding to security incidents.

ADT Caps plans to leverage AWS’s technology and expertise in virtual power plants to enter the global integrated cloud security market.

The two companies intend to expand their business into the smart energy sector starting with this virtual power plant security project. They will continue to collaborate on cloud security projects related to virtual power plants and associated industries.
