Jeonnam Fire Department Conducts 'Mobile Safety Experience Vehicle Fire Safety Education' for Family Month

Events Including Safety Experience Zones Held at Large Marts on the 5th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 3rd that it will conduct ‘Mobile Safety Experience Vehicle Fire Safety Education’ visiting large marts and schools in the province in celebration of Family Month in May.

On Children's Day, the 5th, the mobile safety experience vehicle will be stationed at the mart plaza targeting children and families visiting the large mart, and various fire safety experience events will be held, including operating a safety experience zone inside the shopping mall.

In addition, small-scale visiting fire safety classes using the mobile safety experience vehicle will be operated for schools and daycare centers in the province that made advance reservations in May.

This education will be conducted in compliance with quarantine rules following social distancing due to COVID-19, limiting the number of participants during education, and thoroughly observing quarantine and safety rules before and after the education.

Jeonnam Fire Headquarters has conducted safety education for 9,354 people in 63 sessions over the past three years using the mobile safety experience vehicle.

Last month, in collaboration with the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, one new mobile safety experience vehicle was additionally reinforced, and a total of three mobile safety experience vehicles are currently deployed and operated regionally at Muan, Hwasun, and Boseong Fire Stations.

Lee Joonghee, Director of the Response Prevention Division, said, “In celebration of Family Month, we will continue to operate experiential education so that more residents and children can receive education,” and added, “We will also focus on non-face-to-face safety education to prevent any gaps in fire safety education due to COVID-19.”
