48,000 Housing Units Including Raemian One Bailey to Be Supplied Nationwide in May

[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] In May, about 48,000 households will be supplied nationwide, an increase of 10,000 households compared to the same period last year.

Zigbang announced on the 3rd that among 59 complexes this month, a total of 48,855 households are planned, of which 40,832 households are preparing for general sales.

Compared to the same period last year, the total number of households is expected to increase by 12,518 households (34% increase), and general sales by 12,455 households (44% increase). A Zigbang official explained, "Many of the scheduled supply volumes in April were postponed to after May, and due to the April 7 Seoul mayoral by-election, all scheduled supply volumes in Seoul were postponed, increasing the scheduled supply volume in May."

In particular, mammoth-sized large complexes in Seoul and Busan postponed their sales schedules, so the supply volumes originally scheduled for April are expected to be concentrated in May and June. However, the pre-sale of the 3rd phase new towns in the metropolitan area starting in July could be a variable in future sales schedules, so the sales plans may be fluid.

A total of 25,117 households are preparing for sales in the metropolitan area. Gyeonggi-do plans the largest supply with 15,838 households. In the provinces, 23,738 households are planned for supply, with Chungcheongnam-do expected to have the largest supply of 4,447 households. In Seoul, 4,082 households in 3 complexes are preparing for sales.
