57,000 KF94 Masks Delivered to Elderly in Vulnerable Groups for Disease Prevention
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 30th that it will deliver approximately 57,000 masks to help elderly people in vulnerable quarantine groups in the region overcome COVID-19 in celebration of the upcoming Parents' Day.
The masks delivered to the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross will be distributed to elderly people in vulnerable quarantine groups who are having difficulty continuously purchasing masks due to the ongoing mandatory mask-wearing amid the persistent COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 57,000 masks will be distributed, with 30 masks per household, to elderly people in vulnerable groups in the seven districts of Daegu Metropolitan City, district offices, and welfare centers starting from May 1 through the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross.
Seomun Seon, Head of Management Planning at DGB Daegu Bank, said, “Since the mandatory mask-wearing has not been lifted due to the continuation of COVID-19, we considered the economic burden on elderly people in vulnerable groups for purchasing masks and decided to proceed with this mask delivery.” He added, “Although it is a difficult time to meet family and acquaintances due to social distancing, we hope that through mask support, local elderly people will have a happy and warm Parents' Day.”
