[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Cheolju) announced on the 29th that it operated a consulting session to strengthen user participation design capabilities, attended by 18 education office supervisors, team leaders, and responsible officers.
This consulting invited Kim Minsu, a supervisor from the Green Smart Future School Promotion Team, as a consultant to provide guidance on effective operation methods of user participation design, best practices, and precautions, followed by a Q&A session leading to in-depth discussions.
The consultant emphasized that it is essential to first consider what kind of educational activities will take place in the space, and that the spatial configuration must align with educational activities to become a useful space for users.
A team leader who attended the consulting said, “User participation design was quite unfamiliar to me, but after receiving the consulting, I understood it concretely. Various tasks are carried out step-by-step, and collaboration by task seems important.”
Superintendent Kim Cheolju stated, “We will do our best to support the establishment of the Damyang Future Convergence Education Center, which can support learning, communication, and rest for the Damyang educational community by fully collecting opinions from students, teachers, parents, and local residents who will use the space.”
The Damyang Future Convergence Education Center is planned to be built at the old Jusang branch school with a total budget of 6.2 billion KRW, including a 1 billion KRW matching investment from Damyang County.
