[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Shin Jeong-hoon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea and National Assemblyman for Jeonnam Naju·Hwasun, held a meeting among stakeholders of the Naju SRF Combined Heat and Power Plant to create a communication platform regarding the difficulties faced after the conclusion of the public-private governance activities related to the Naju SRF Combined Heat and Power Plant issue.
According to Shin Jeong-hoon's office, on the 29th, a meeting among Naju SRF stakeholders was held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building, attended by Shin Jeong-hoon, Hwang Man-young, Director of Korea District Heating Corporation, and Jeong Chan-gyun, Deputy Mayor of Naju City.
The meeting was organized to resolve conflicts among the parties and discuss solutions concerning the administrative lawsuit filed by Korea District Heating Corporation against Naju City at the Gwangju District Court regarding the operation of the SRF Combined Heat and Power Plant.
Assemblyman Shin Jeong-hoon emphasized, "While pursuing legal action among the parties involved in the Naju SRF issue may be a response, it cannot be the best solution. Mutual efforts are necessary to amicably resolve the current conflict," adding, "Collaboration through dialogue and consultation is important to solve this together."
He further stated, "If Naju City, Gwangju City, and the Heating Corporation move beyond their existing perspectives and achieve concessions and agreements on a broader scale, I will support the preparation of government alternatives and the establishment of legal grounds in the National Assembly."
Meanwhile, Assemblyman Shin Jeong-hoon is conducting weekly task force meetings with the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Industry, and others, focusing on the power generation division within the Democratic Party's Carbon Neutrality Special Committee. Going forward, through the activation of the task force, he plans to frequently establish discussion tables among stakeholders.
