[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hapcheon County Branch of the Barugesalgi Movement in Gyeongnam received a commendation from the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for actively participating in the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and contributing to national disaster management.
On the 29th, it was announced that the commendation was presented by the Hapcheon County Governor at the Hapcheon County Office Governor's Office, attended by Chairman Lee Tae-ryeon and three executives of the Barugesalgi Movement Hapcheon County Branch.
The Barugesalgi Movement Hapcheon County Branch donated COVID-19 response funds twice between 2020 and 2021, and since last year, has made efforts to establish quarantine rules in the region through 15 rounds of self-quarantine and disinfection activities by each town and township, mask donations to nursing homes, and posting social distancing banners.
Chairman Lee Tae-ryeon said, "I think this meaningful award was given as a sign to work harder in volunteering and activities," adding, "We will continue to carry out quarantine activities together with Barugesalgi Movement members until the day COVID-19 ends."
