Sandangong Holds Launch Ceremony for 'Incheon ESG Supporters'
The Incheon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation is holding the launch ceremony of the public-private consultative body 'Incheon ESG Supporters' to promote the spread of ESG management in the Incheon area.
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Incheon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SanDanGong Incheon Headquarters) announced on the 29th that it held the launching ceremony of the 'Incheon ESG Supporters,' a public-private consultative body for spreading ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management in the Incheon area. The 'Incheon ESG Supporters' is a public-private cooperative supporter group formed to promote the spread of ESG management culture among large, medium, and small enterprises in the Incheon region for corporate growth and regional industrial promotion. Unlike previous government-centered consultative bodies, it was autonomously formed by the local community.
The consultative body includes 15 organizations such as DY Auto, Lotte Fine Chemical, Rinnai Korea, HiSteel, Incheon Smart Motor Industry Promotion Agency, Namdong Industrial Complex Women Entrepreneurs Association, Incheon Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Incheon Industrial Complex Fire Station, Industrial Bank of Korea Incheon Regional Headquarters, Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Corporation Incheon Regional Headquarters, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Incheon Regional Headquarters, Human Resources Development Service of Korea Incheon Regional Headquarters, Export-Import Bank of Korea Gyeongin Regional Headquarters, Korea Environment Corporation Climate and Air Headquarters, and Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Incheon Regional Headquarters.
SanDanGong Incheon Headquarters, the secretariat institution of the consultative body, derived cooperation contents for each ESG sector and plans to promote them together with the 15 participating organizations. Yoon Jeong-mok, head of SanDanGong Incheon Regional Headquarters, said, "Although ESG has become a global standard, medium and small enterprises inevitably have relatively insufficient response capabilities," and added, "By cooperating with the 15 organizations participating in the consultative body, we will improve systems to revitalize ESG management and become a self-sustaining consultative body leading the spread of ESG management in the region. At the same time, the corporation will further expand its corporate support platform functions through the activities of the consultative body."
