[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for public parking fee reductions through the Baby Welcome website for families with multiple children.
The applicants must be families raising two or more children, with the youngest child being 18 years old or younger. The fee reduction can be applied to one vehicle registered under the parents' name.
As of March 2021, Bucheon City recorded 2,311 applications for families with two children, 1,554 for three children, and 235 for four or more children.
This service was established to reduce the inconvenience of on-site visits by allowing easy applications through the Baby Welcome website without visiting the administrative welfare center, and to expand the beneficiaries of the multiple children parking fee reduction.
A Bucheon City official stated, "We hope citizens actively use the public parking fee reduction service through convenient online applications," and added, "We will continue to strive to develop Baby Welcome policies that citizens can truly feel."
