[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Amorepacific is recruiting participants for the non-face-to-face running event ‘2021 Pink Run Plus.’ Participants can register on the official Pink Run website starting May 4.
Pink Run, one of the flagship programs of the Pink Ribbon campaign, has been held for the past 20 years to raise awareness about breast health. Considering participants' safety, the event has been held virtually since last year. Even amid the COVID-19 situation, it emphasizes the importance of exercise through a new approach.
The 2021 Pink Run Plus can be joined from anywhere nationwide via the global cycling tracking application (app) ‘Strava.’ Participants select the Pink Run Plus challenge on the app and then run at least 5 km between June 14 and 20, submitting proof afterward.
On June 20, a live visible radio broadcast (‘2021 Pink Run Plus Live’) will be held through Naver Now. The program will share various enjoyable content such as pre-run stretching and music to listen to while running, along with breast health knowledge. The radio broadcast is open to everyone.
Marking its 21st anniversary this year, Pink Run Plus has prepared various events and goods before and after the run. Detailed information and other event contents can be found on the official Pink Run Plus Instagram account.
The participation fee of 10,000 KRW per person will be fully donated through the Korea Breast Health Foundation to support surgery and treatment costs for low-income breast cancer patients. The 2021 Pink Run Plus will also be held in October, the breast cancer prevention month.
