AI Startup FortyTwoMaru Selected for Hana Bank's 'Hana OneQ Agile Lab'


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] AI startup FortyTwoMaru (CEO Kim Dong-hwan) announced on the 27th that it has been selected for the 11th batch of the startup discovery and nurturing program 'Hana One Q Agile Lab,' hosted by Hana Bank.


Hana One Q Agile Lab, a startup mentoring center operated by Hana Bank, has discovered and collaborated with a total of 113 startups since its establishment in 2015, creating various success stories. Selected startups receive extensive support, including diverse collaboration opportunities with operational departments across all Hana Financial Group affiliates, direct and indirect investments, attempts at global expansion, and provision of office space.


FortyTwoMaru is an AI startup specializing in a 'Deep Semantic QA Platform' that accurately understands users' query intentions and derives correct answers. Following its selection for the Hana One Q Agile Lab, FortyTwoMaru plans to expand its optical character recognition natural language processing engine, which detects abnormal transactions based on trade data, into anti-money laundering and identity verification systems.


Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of FortyTwoMaru, stated, "We have conducted various AI-related projects with several domestic financial institutions, and there is significant demand in overseas markets as well. We plan to actively pursue overseas market entry, leveraging this selection for the Hana One Q Agile Lab as an opportunity."
