LG CNS Launches CloudXper ProOps... 'Integrated Management of Amazon, MS, and Google Cloud'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] LG CNS is launching a cloud operation service called 'CloudXper ProOps.'

On the 27th, according to LG CNS, through CloudXper ProOps, it will become the first domestic company to enter the cloud 'The New MSP (Managed Service Provider)' business. The New MSP is a business model that integrates and optimizes customer cloud infrastructure, application systems, security, and expert services to operate the optimal cloud environment in response to the rapidly changing cloud landscape. MSP refers to companies that carry out cloud transition and operation projects for clients without cloud experience.

◆ Providing Hybrid and Multi-Cloud = Until now, MSPs primarily operated single-cloud services. However, recently, customer demands have increased to operate parts of existing systems in parallel with the cloud according to work characteristics or to mix and utilize various clouds as needed.

LG CNS has established partnerships with the three major global cloud infrastructure providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft (MS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). It also holds certifications provided by these three companies. It offers integrated management of hybrid and multi-cloud services by optimally combining clouds according to customer system characteristics and provides real-time visualization of resource usage status. AWS cloud-dedicated technical experts called 'TAM (Technical Account Manager)' are provided to support customer issue resolution at all times.

◆ Applying Cloud-Oriented New Technologies such as AI and Big Data = CloudXper ProOps supports various new cloud-oriented technologies. For example, when new cloud technologies are released or technical changes occur, the Architecture Review service immediately applies updates to the customer's cloud to always maintain system currency.

When customer business content changes require system modifications, it provides 'cloud-native' technology that enables cloud environment configuration tasks?such as cloud server creation, development environment changes, and network changes?that used to take over a week to be completed in minutes. It also carries out advanced work by applying IT new technologies such as AI and big data to the cloud environment.

◆ Cloud Security and Cost Optimization = 99% of cloud security incidents occur due to user company errors. LG CNS takes responsibility for securing customer data on the cloud, which requires the highest level of security. Dedicated security personnel are assigned to each customer for real-time monitoring, and automated security inspection tools are provided. In particular, LG CNS deploys its white-hat hacker organization, the RED Team, to prevent security incidents in advance through intrusion detection and vulnerability diagnosis.

LG CNS also optimizes cloud operation costs. According to the 2021 Cloud Status Report by Flexera, a U.S.-based cloud optimization company, cloud-using companies waste more than 30% of costs due to poor management. LG CNS performs provisioning tasks that allocate and arrange resources according to the customer's cloud usage and identifies causes of cost waste to derive reduction measures.
