[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Road Traffic Authority announced on the 27th that it will hold a public contest for citizen participation in creating questions for the 2021 automobile driver's license written test.
The contest themes include ▲Personal Mobility Devices (PM) ▲Autonomous Vehicles (Autopilot, Smart Cruise) ▲Revised Road Traffic Act ▲Defensive driving according to road conditions such as black ice and rainy roads ▲Eco-friendly vehicles such as electric and hydrogen cars ▲Consideration for vulnerable road users (children and elderly) ▲Driving etiquette, and all other areas that can be reflected in the driver's license written test.
Anyone from the public can participate in the contest by creating questions in one of three formats: sentence type, photo type, or safety sign type. The submission period is from 9 a.m. today until 5 p.m. on July 26. Participants can download the contest form from the Authority's website, fill it out, and then upload it again on the website.
Among the submitted questions, 15 outstanding question creators will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation and awarded gift certificates and prizes. The selected questions will be utilized in the automobile driver's license written test question bank.
An official from the Authority said, "This contest was planned to provide an opportunity for the public to directly create and submit driver's license written test questions, thereby enhancing awareness and understanding of various traffic safety fields," and added, "We hope everyone will participate in reducing traffic accidents by complying with traffic laws related to new transportation means and practicing considerate driving."
