The Seokcheon Scholarship and Culture Foundation and Gurye-gun signed an MOU to recommend and support three scholarship students annually for 10 years to nurture talents who will take responsibility for and lead the future.
Established in 2014, the Seokcheon Scholarship and Culture Foundation has been continuously practicing sharing for underprivileged groups such as low-income families and people with disabilities with excellent academic performance to foster talents who can contribute to the nation's development by instilling pride in the country and motivation for studies.
Kim Yoon-joong, Chairman of the Seokcheon Scholarship and Culture Foundation, stated, "I am pleased to provide students who are eager to learn with an opportunity to take a step ahead toward hope and dreams."
Kim Soon-ho, Governor of Gurye-gun, said, "I sincerely thank Chairman Kim Yoon-joong for providing an opportunity to inspire the academic motivation of young talents in the region again this year following last year," and added, "We will do our best to nurture local talents."
