The Jeju branch of the Korea Forest Technicians Association announced that it held a plaque ceremony at 11 a.m. on the same day at 1055-3 Sanghyo-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju.
The event proceeded in the order of guest introductions, congratulatory speeches, certificate presentation, and unveiling ceremony, with only a minimal number of attendees while complying with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
Song Seung-ui, head of the Jeju branch, said in his congratulatory speech, "We will work hard for the development of Jeju forestry and for the welfare improvement and livelihood of forest technicians."
The Korea Forest Technicians Association promotes research and development such as qualification management, education, and publicity to improve technology and protect the rights of forest-related organizations. It systematically manages forest technicians and forestry business corporations to enhance the level of forest technology and ensure the quality and stability of forestry projects.
Meanwhile, the event was attended by Jeong Gyu-won, president of the Korea Forest Technicians Association, Sung Yong-ho, first senior vice president, and Lee Kwang-il, second senior vice president.
