Asiana, Air Busan, and Air Seoul Joint Council Launched... Cooperation for Unified Manual

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Asiana Airlines announced on the 23rd that it launched a joint consultative body together with its airline affiliates Air Busan and Air Seoul at the Asiana Airlines headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on the 22nd.

The consultative body, led and operated by Asiana Airlines, is a collaboration among the three airlines?Asiana Airlines, Air Busan, and Air Seoul?to establish joint measures for safe and comfortable flights in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era and to share professional knowledge.

With the establishment of this consultative body, the three airlines will unify manuals to enhance in-flight safety by re-examining and updating safety standards, procedures, and guidelines in response to changes in the cabin environment caused by COVID-19; supplementing emergency response plans; and revising the Cabin Crew Manual (CCM).

They will also cooperate in upgrading customer service procedures, jointly developing specialized programs, and sharing internal training programs. Furthermore, they plan to discuss future directions to proactively respond to upcoming changes in air travel in the post-COVID-19 era, such as the introduction of vaccine passports and travel bubbles (quarantine-free travel).

An Asiana Airlines representative stated, "Based on over 30 years of accumulated know-how and data since our founding, we will maximize the synergy of cooperation among the three airlines by raising the in-flight safety and service levels of our airline affiliates and strengthen our competitiveness."
