[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On Friday the 23rd, the whole country will be mostly cloudy with rain in some areas.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, from dawn to morning, there will be light rain in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Jeju. During the day, raindrops will fall in Yeongseo region of Gangwon, western Gyeongsang region, as well as in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Jeolla regions.

Expected precipitation amounts are less than 5mm in Jeolla region, Jeju Island, and the five western islands. The metropolitan area and Chungcheong region will receive around 1mm.

The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 11 and 16 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 14 and 26 degrees Celsius. Most of the country will have daytime temperatures around 20 degrees. Seoul is expected to be 16 to 23 degrees, Daejeon 14 to 23 degrees, Gwangju 16 to 26 degrees, Daegu 14 to 20 degrees, Busan 15 to 19 degrees, and Jeju 16 to 22 degrees.

In Seoul, southern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeonnam, Gyeongsang regions, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island, where dry weather warnings are in effect, the air will be very dry, so special caution is required to prevent wildfires and other fire hazards.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'moderate' across all regions.

In the southern seas of Jeju Island, winds will be very strong and waves high, so vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should exercise caution.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 3 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 2 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 3 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. Offshore wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 1 to 4 meters in the West Sea, and 1 to 4 meters in the South Sea.
