[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) opened a 'Care Farm (Healing Farm)' at the Jeonbuk Bio-Industry Promotion Agency Business Center on the 22nd.
The Care Farm is one of the '7 Major Collaborative Tasks Chosen by the People' by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety this year. It is a healing farm established last November to help the mental and physical healing of people with developmental disabilities who lack outdoor activities. KAMCO's Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters collaborated with six organizations to create it on unused national land.
At the Care Farm, agricultural activities such as gardening, horticulture practice, horse ranch experience, and forest experience take place. Through the activation of the Care Farm, plans are underway to seek economic independence and job creation for people with developmental disabilities.
Moon Sung-yoo, President of KAMCO, emphasized, "I am honored to help the healing and economic independence of people with developmental disabilities," and added, "We will continue to expand social value steadily in the future."
