[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 22nd that Kim Taeju, the General Tax Policy Officer, has been appointed as the Director of the Tax Policy Bureau. This personnel appointment was made to fill the vacancy left by former Director Im Jaehyun, who moved to the Korea Customs Service on the 26th of last month.


Director Kim, originally from Yeongdong, Chungbuk, graduated from Sangmun High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, and entered public service through the 35th Administrative Examination. He has built expertise by holding key tax-related positions at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, including Head of Tax Analysis Division, Head of International Tax System Division, Head of International Tax Cooperation Division, Head of Value-Added Tax Division, and General Tax Policy Officer.


Director Kim has been selected three consecutive times as a 'Boss You Want to Resemble' and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
