Minimax Jungle Wins Third Crown Following Red Dot and Good Design Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 22nd that its health functional foods Minimax Jungle and Selparex have won the main prize at the '2021 iF Design Award,' one of the world's top three design awards.
Established in 1953, the iF Design Award, organized by the International Forum Design, is considered one of the world's top three design awards. This year, over 9,500 works from 52 countries were submitted.
Minimax Jungle applied the '3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle' for environmental friendliness to its packaging. The package exterior is made of recycled pulp certified as green, and the outer band uses 'Earth pack,' a non-wood eco-friendly paper made from sugarcane. Children can also engage in activities such as drawing on the toy bag-shaped package to create their own unique bag.
With this award, Minimax Jungle has achieved a triple crown, having previously won the Red Dot and Good Design Awards.
Selparex's packaging was designed based on the brand vision of 'active health management for modern people.' Pictograms and a color system were applied so that consumers can intuitively select the product that suits them from 15 different types. The four essential lines are individually packaged for easy portability, and the 11 solution lines are made of tilted translucent material, making it easy to open and close the container and check the remaining amount.
A Dong-A Pharmaceutical official said, "We believe that the important aspect of design is the message it carries rather than just visual pleasure," adding, "We will continue to strive to present designs that encompass not only aesthetics but also practicality and social value."
