Hampyeong-gun Conducts Comprehensive Farm Register Cleanup... Updates Ownership and Lease Information

[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it will conduct a comprehensive overhaul of the Nongjiwonbu (Farm Land Ledger) by the end of this year for the efficient use and systematic management of farmland.

The overhaul targets a total of 53,804 parcels, including the remaining quantity from last year, focusing on farmland owned by farmers under the age of 80 within the jurisdiction.

The Nongjiwonbu is prepared for farmers (including corporations) cultivating crops or perennial plants on farmland of 1,000㎡ (330㎡ for facilities) or more.

It is used as basic data for establishing agricultural policies by understanding the actual status of farmland ownership and use.

This overhaul will be conducted through comparative analysis of various policy data such as the Nongjiwonbu, land register, and agricultural management entity registration information.

Ownership and lease information of farmland with discrepancies such as changes in ownership, expiration of lease periods, and duplicate Nongjiwonbu entries will be adjusted to reflect the current situation.

In particular, cases where ownership and lease information of farmland are unclear or do not match the registered management entity information of the person responsible for preparation will be intensively investigated, and if necessary, included in the farmland use status survey for further adjustment.

A county official stated, “Through the comprehensive overhaul of the Nongjiwonbu, we will enhance the accuracy and reliability of the ledger as a public record and utilize it as important policy data to prevent fraudulent receipt of public direct payments and to improve issues related to farmland ownership and illegal leasing.”
