GKL Opens 'Enterprise Growth Response Center' to Ease Regulations and Foster Win-Win Cooperation for SMEs

GKL Opens 'Enterprise Growth Response Center' to Ease Regulations and Foster Win-Win Cooperation for SMEs Yoo Tae-yeol, President of GKL.

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 21st that it has established and officially launched the "GKL Corporate Growth Response Center," a dedicated channel for resolving unreasonable regulations on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promoting win-win cooperation, both on the first floor of its headquarters and online via the GKL website.

The Corporate Growth Response Center was initiated as part of the "Public Institution Corporate Vitality System Establishment Plan," reported and approved at the Economic Ministers' Meeting in February 2019. It is a dedicated organization where the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' SME Ombudsman, and public institutions collaborate to continuously identify and address regulatory difficulties faced by companies.

The Corporate Growth Response Center plans to resolve unreasonable regulatory difficulties for SMEs and establish protection systems to prevent corporate grievance damages. Additionally, for challenges that are difficult to resolve independently, such as government policy improvements and legislative amendments, the center will collaborate with the "SME Ombudsman" to find solutions.

In February, GKL also declared the "Corporate Grievance and Protection Service Charter," which focuses on improving systems related to unreasonable regulations causing corporate inconvenience and prohibiting disadvantages and discrimination against companies requesting improvements.

Jeon Byung-geuk, Head of GKL's Innovation Management Division, stated, "We hope the GKL Corporate Growth Response Center will become a cornerstone for SMEs to overcome economic crises and achieve mutual growth. We will continue to explore various win-win cooperation measures to foster mutual development with SMEs as a public enterprise."

Meanwhile, GKL is making various efforts to promote win-win cooperation with SMEs, including ▲ operating the GKL Win-Win Growth Fund ▲ supporting the localization and market expansion of casino equipment ▲ opening data through the operation of the GKL Technology Verification Center ▲ and holding regular meetings to support SMEs in overcoming crises.
