Annual increase of 13.6%... Expansion of unmanned civil service issuance machines under review
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) analyzed the civil complaint reception status over the past year to provide efficient civil complaint administrative services, revealing a total of approximately 380,000 cases.
According to Nam-gu on the 21st, the number of civil complaint applications received by Nam-gu Office last year was counted at 380,318 cases.
Non-face-to-face applications through Government24 accounted for the largest portion with 275,286 cases (72.4%), followed by unmanned civil complaint reception with 59,280 cases (15.6%), direct visits with 24,132 cases (6.3%), and applications through linked systems such as the Building Administration System Seumteo with 21,620 cases (5.7%).
Looking at the reception status by civil complaint content, immediate civil complaints related to certificates such as resident registration copies accounted for the majority with 331,096 cases (87.1%), followed by simple civil complaints with 42,340 cases (11.1%), complex civil complaints with 6,628 cases (1.7%), and grievance complaints with 254 cases (0.1%).
Also, the civil complaint reception status over three years from 2018 to 2020 showed 294,718 cases, 333,821 cases, and 380,318 cases respectively.
In 2019, there was a 13.3% increase compared to the previous year, and in 2020, a 13.9% increase compared to the previous year, indicating that the demand for civil complaints has been steadily increasing year by year.
Additionally, non-face-to-face civil complaint processing through online platforms such as Government24 has been increasing annually from 241,858 cases in 2018 to 284,634 cases in 2019, and 334,566 cases in 2020.
Reflecting the increasing civil complaint demand and non-face-to-face reception patterns each year, Nam-gu plans to expand the installation of unmanned civil complaint issuance machines to a total of 15 units within this year, including 14 administrative welfare centers in the district where unmanned machines have not been installed and Hyodeok-dong, which is scheduled to be subdivided.
With the additional installation of unmanned civil complaint issuance machines, a total of 26 units will be available in the district, including the existing 11 units installed at locations such as E-Mart Bongseon Branch and Bigsfo Mart Hyocheon Branch.
A Nam-gu official stated, “To provide convenient civil complaint services that residents can feel, we will expand non-face-to-face services utilizing digital technology and promote resident-centered civil complaint administrative services through strengthening the capabilities of civil complaint officials.”
