Rokit Healthcare "Rokit Genomics to Host Single-Cell Analysis Open School on the 27th"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Rokit Healthcare's subsidiary, Rokit Genomics, a company specializing in single-cell analysis, announced on the 21st that it will hold an open school for researchers in the single-cell field at Rokit Healthcare headquarters on the 27th.

This open school aims to lower the high entry barriers such as the need for computer programming knowledge in single-cell analysis. The event consists of ▲Overview of single-cell analysis ▲How to use the R programming language ▲Practical training on single-cell data analysis.

Single-cell analysis is a method that identifies the characteristics of individual cells from tissues or tumors. It can distinguish cell types by identifying the biological heterogeneity of each cell.

Dr. Jang Gi-eop said, “Various studies on cancer, Alzheimer's, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and more are being conducted using the characteristics of single-cell analysis,” adding, “This open school will be an opportunity for researchers to become familiar with data analysis.”

Se-won Kim, CEO of Rokit Genomics, said, “It will help resolve the difficulties researchers feel about data analysis and allow them to directly perform coding to acquire knowledge in the bioinformatics field, resulting in positive effects,” and added, “We will lead the popularization of single-cell analysis by opening a platform for diverse knowledge sharing.”

Meanwhile, Rokit Genomics has introduced all single-cell analysis platforms including the ‘Chromium’ from the US biotech company ‘10x Genomics’ and the ‘Rhapsody’ from the global medical device company ‘Becton Dickinson (BD)’, for the first time in Korea.
