Respecting Children's Rights and Preventing Child Abuse
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is hosting the "Child Abuse Prevention Content Contest" as part of the 27th Geochang-gun Non-face-to-face Children's Day Grand Festival to celebrate the 99th Children's Day.
This contest, under the theme of "Respect for Children's Rights and Prevention of Child Abuse," will be held from April 26 to May 7, and anyone interested in child abuse prevention who is a resident of Geochang-gun can participate.
The contest categories include original creative videos (UCC), posters, and card news, with submissions limited to up to two entries per individual or team.
To apply, participants must download the application form from the Geochang-gun Office website, fill out the form with the work file, title, and a brief description, and submit it via email to the Child Abuse Prevention Content Contest email address.
Selected works will be individually notified on May 18 and can also be checked on the Geochang-gun Office website. Furthermore, the various promotional contents discovered through the contest will be actively utilized in future child abuse awareness improvement projects for residents.
Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, stated, "We hope this Child Abuse Prevention Content Contest will be a time for all residents to reflect on the importance of children's rights and to build a consensus on reporting child abuse."
The county will fairly review the submitted works and select a total of 16 final entries. The total prize money is 2 million KRW, with 500,000 KRW for one grand prize winner, 300,000 KRW each for two excellence award winners, 200,000 KRW each for three encouragement award winners, and 30,000 KRW each for ten honorable mentions. Prizes will be awarded in cash and Geochang Love gift certificates.
