Wildfire in Gonggeun, Hoengseong... 5 Helicopters and 47 Personnel Deployed

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] At around 4:45 PM on the 19th, a forest fire broke out in Chowon-ri, Gonggeun-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon Province, and forestry authorities are currently extinguishing it.

The forestry authorities have deployed 5 helicopters and 47 personnel including firefighting teams to put out the fire.

The wind at the forest fire site is not strong, but sunset is approaching soon. The fire department plans to deploy maximum firefighting resources to complete the main fire extinguishing before sunset.
