[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] As a result of reviewing the causes of death of 11 people reported to have died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in South Korea, it was evaluated that the likelihood of a connection to the vaccination is low.

On the 19th, according to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team), the Vaccine Injury Investigation Team recently held its 7th and 8th meetings to examine the relationship between reported cases of severe adverse reactions, including deaths, and the vaccines.

The investigation team explained, "Based on the data collected and analyzed so far, it is highly likely that the deaths were caused by other factors such as pneumonia and cerebral infarction, and the association with the vaccine is considered low," adding, "It was evaluated that it is difficult to recognize causality between adverse reactions after vaccination and death."
