Ford Launches New Ford Expedition "The Ultimate Camping Vehicle"

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Ford Korea officially launched the New Ford Expedition, the largest Ford SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle), in the domestic market last month.

The New Ford Expedition is Ford's flagship model that combines power, convenience, and space utilization. Ford Korea strengthened its SUV lineup by unveiling the full-size large SUV Expedition, which is one class larger than the large SUV Explorer that has consistently recorded good sales in the domestic market.

The Expedition is available as a 7-seater (2nd-row captain seats) or 8-seater (2nd-row bench seat), making it a dream car for outdoor life that fits recent trends. As a full-size large SUV, folding down the 2nd and 3rd rows provides a spacious interior where an adult male can lie down comfortably, making it an optimized model for car camping and camping trips with family.

The New Ford Expedition is equipped with a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine boasting a maximum output of 405 horsepower and a maximum torque of 66 kg·m. It features a 10-speed automatic transmission that delivers excellent responsiveness and smooth driving. The drive mode selection function applied to the Expedition is designed to offer seven drive modes including Sport and Eco, enabling driving tailored to various road conditions.

The body is made of a high-strength steel frame and aluminum alloy body, ensuring excellent safety, and boasts an outstanding towing capacity of 4,173 kg. This is a significant advantage for outdoor activities such as car camping and camping, where trailers or caravans are towed.

The Pro Trailer Backup Assist function installed in the Expedition makes towing even safer and more convenient. This feature assists the driver’s steering when reversing with a trailer connected to the vehicle, allowing the driver to easily reverse in the desired direction by operating the control knob. The price of the New Ford Expedition is 82.4 million KRW including VAT (3.5% individual consumption tax applied).
