[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Cafe24 announced on the 19th that it has significantly enhanced the features of its banner creation service, Edibot Banner. With this update, online shopping mall operators can create promotional banners more easily without the help of professional designers or expensive graphic tools.
Edibot Banner is a tool that allows users to create and edit banner images with simple operations such as clicking, dragging, and dropping. Any Cafe24 member can use it for free. Newly added features include ▲ Size Set, which predefines banner sizes according to usage purposes and makes templates responsive accordingly ▲ Filters that automatically change the banner’s mood by selecting words that express feelings ▲ An automatic translation system that converts the banner’s language into foreign languages.
The Size Set feature allows business operators to preset banner sizes so that every time they click a template, they receive a banner automatically adjusted to the desired size. It is easy to create banners not only for online shopping malls but also for social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. This enables automatic size changes suitable for each online shopping mall without separate manual work, which is expected to improve work efficiency.
The filter function changes template components such as background color and text design automatically to match the selected mood word. The automatic translation system translates the text within the banner into the language of the selected country. It supports a total of eight foreign languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Vietnamese, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Many additional components usable for banner creation have also been added. The number of templates has increased by 19, supporting a total of 213. Fonts that can be used without license concerns are provided up to 339.
Lee Jaeseok, CEO of Cafe24, said, “By enhancing Edibot Banner, online business operators can more effectively deliver their shopping mall’s products and content to consumers,” adding, “We will continue to introduce innovative services that reflect trends as well as improve operational efficiency for shopping mall operators.”
