"Entertainment and Live Commerce Integration" LG HelloVision's 'Paldo Bapsang Plus' First Broadcast

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG HelloVision announced on the 19th that it will air the first episode of "Paldo Bapsang Plus," an entertainment program themed around special meals made with regional specialties, linked with live commerce, on the 20th. The three live commerce sessions for regional specialties held at the program's filming sites prior to the main broadcast all sold out.

"Paldo Bapsang Plus," revamped from "Chef's Paldo Bapsang," which was first introduced in March last year, features live commerce conducted at the filming locations as its biggest characteristic. The cast members conduct a 60-minute live commerce session during each filming to sell regional specialties. The live commerce is broadcast through "Naver Shopping Live," and highlights are also introduced in the main program. Broadcaster Kwanghee appears as the new fixed MC, with chefs O Se-deuk and Lee Won-il, and traditional musician Kim Nani participating. The first episode on the 20th visits tomato and zucchini farms in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do.

Earlier, on the 3rd, the cast sold ripe tomatoes through live commerce at the Gwangyang episode filming site. Chef O Se-deuk prepared tomato salad, and Chef Lee Won-il presented tomato water parsley kkakdugi, whetting viewers' appetites. As a result, with over 20,000 cumulative viewers, the prepared quantity sold out within 20 minutes.

Park Hyun-woo, head of LG HelloVision Content Production Center, said, "While focusing on the fundamental competitiveness of content, we ask for much interest in this program and live commerce, which aim to present a new paradigm for regional channel broadcasting by directly contributing to revitalizing the local economy." The main broadcast of Paldo Bapsang Plus can be viewed every Tuesday at 4:55 PM on HelloTV channel 25, and it is also aired on MediaLog's "The Life" channel and Gugak Broadcasting. The live commerce with the cast is held every Wednesday at 6 PM on Naver Shopping Live. The live commerce on the 21st will feature wild vegetables, a specialty of Cheongyang, Chungnam.
