Yangcheon-gu Online Job Fair Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) is holding a non-face-to-face job fair to resolve unemployment for job seekers struggling with COVID-19 and economic recession and to conduct a safe recruitment event.

The non-face-to-face job fair, held at the first-floor exhibition hall of Yangcheon Culture Center (367 Mokdongseo-ro, Sinjeong-dong), will be safely conducted with five companies each at different times, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the 21st.

The district announced that it held its first non-face-to-face video interview job fair in August last year, and this is the fourth non-face-to-face job fair to be held.

Also, to prevent COVID-19 infection, job seekers were pre-registered and visiting times on the day of the fair were allocated and guided. At the appointed time, companies will conduct video interviews from their respective offices, while job seekers will participate in video interviews at the company booths in the fair venue.

Through this non-face-to-face job fair, HR managers from a total of 10 companies will conduct one-on-one interviews with about 80 pre-registered job seekers.

The participating companies announced plans to hire vulnerable groups in fields such as security monitoring staff, counselors, drivers, cooks, and postpartum care workers.

The district plans to provide continuous monitoring services such as employment placement and job retention after registering job openings and job seekers at the Job Plus Center for participating companies and job seekers, so that this fair does not end as a one-time event.

For more details, refer to the notices on the district website or contact the Yangcheon-gu Job Plus Center.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “Although the COVID-19 situation is severe, since livelihoods depend on this, we will strictly follow quarantine guidelines such as real-time disinfection and temperature checks to ensure that those visiting the site can safely attend interviews.”
