Guro-gu Supports Social Economy Enterprises in Entering Online Markets

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is helping social economy enterprises enter the online market.

On the 19th, Guro-gu announced, "As the proportion of non-face-to-face consumption has increased due to COVID-19, we support social economy enterprises to diversify their sales channels by helping them enter the 'Naver Smart Store.' To this end, we are recruiting participating companies until the 23rd of this month."

The recruitment target is social economy enterprises located in Guro-gu that have been operating for more than six months after business registration, including companies already listed on Naver Smart Store.

If the products sold are related or similar, two or more companies can form a consortium and apply jointly.

Guro-gu will select up to five companies and support them from preparing to enter the Naver Smart Store to actual sales operations.

For each company, up to five products will be assisted with photography and sales page creation. Additionally, basic education on Smart Store operation manuals, customer management, and settlement will be provided, along with consulting from marketing specialists.

Companies wishing to participate should submit application forms, product introductions, and other documents by 5 p.m. on the 23rd to the Employment Support Division of the district office via email (bandibool@guro.go.kr). Detailed information on application documents can be found in the news section of the district office website.

Guro-gu will comprehensively consider factors such as company growth potential and suitability for online sales to select supported companies and plans to notify the results individually by the 30th of this month.

Last year, four companies?‘Durihana Daul (confectionery)’, ‘Space Hamkke (space organizing consulting)’, ‘Fine Partners (hygiene products and bedding)’, and ‘Dream Keepers Cooperative (confectionery)’?entered the Naver Smart Store with support from the district and are currently continuing their sales activities.

A Guro-gu official said, "We expect this project to help social economy enterprises considering entering the online market," and added, "We will do our best to support them so that it leads to actual sales increases."

Meanwhile, Guro-gu has been carrying out various support projects to secure online sales channels for social economy enterprises, including opening and operating the Social Buy Plaza blog, Social Economy Academy, and training courses for SNS marketers and YouTube marketers.
