Half of the Top 10 Popular Delivery Products in a Month Are 'I'm e PL' Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Emart24 is accelerating the expansion of its delivery service.
Emart24 announced on the 19th that it has completed listing on 'KakaoTalk Order'. Following the delivery app 'Yogiyo', Emart24 delivery service can now be used through KakaoTalk as well. Emart24 stated, "We will continue to expand delivery order channels so that customers can use delivery services on more diverse platforms."
Emart24 revealed that after completing testing last month and starting full-scale delivery expansion, inquiries from franchise stores have continued, increasing the number of stores available for delivery to 1,000 within a month.
A company official predicted, "At this pace, we will achieve the plan to expand delivery-capable stores to 1,500 within the year much earlier than expected." It is analyzed that in the era of contactless consumption, franchise stores hoping to increase additional convenience store sales through delivery services have greatly increased.
Emart24 said that delivery is possible for about 700 items, including differentiated Emart24 products such as Smoothie King manufactured beverages, Peacock ready meals, MinSaeng series, and I'm e products. The delivery fee is set at 2,400 KRW, the lowest level in the industry.
To differentiate the service, Emart24 introduced delivery-only bags featuring 'Darami', the Emart24 delivery service character. Darami bags are eco-friendly products (environmental label certified) made by recycling waste vinyl, and are 1.5 times thicker than regular vinyl, allowing safe delivery of products. Darami bags will be used at all delivery stores starting from the 26th.
Lee Jin-woo, team leader of Emart24 Differentiated Store Team, said, "There was a great response from franchise stores after announcing the full-scale expansion of delivery services," adding, "We plan to continuously provide differentiated delivery-only set products and discount benefits."
Meanwhile, an analysis of delivery service usage products from March 16 to April 15 by Emart24 showed that 'Haru 1 Liter Mineral Water 2ℓ' was the most sought-after product. Sales of beverages, cup noodles, and snacks were also high. Notably, half of the 'Top 10' products were differentiated I'm e products that can only be purchased at Emart24. Including Haru 1 Liter Mineral Water 2ℓ, Potato Chips Sour Cream & Onion, Fresh Orange 1.5ℓ, Purple Sweet Potato Chips, and Choco Chip Cookies were among the top 10.
