All infection routes are local infections, including 11 related to a Sacheon restaurant, 6 related to a Jinju acquaintance gathering, 4 contacts with confirmed cases within the province, 3 contacts with confirmed cases from other regions, and 3 under investigation.
Among the 10 confirmed cases in Sacheon, 9 and 2 confirmed cases in Jinju are related to the Sacheon restaurant.
Among the 12 confirmed cases in Jinju, 6 are related to the Jinju acquaintance gathering. Among them, 4 were confirmed positive after visiting a karaoke bar. The remaining 2 are their contacts.
In Uiryeong, a woman in her 30s who is a childcare teacher tested positive in a proactive screening conducted by the province for childcare teachers.
So far, tests have been conducted on 48 children enrolled in the daycare center and 3 family members; as a result, 1 child tested positive, and the rest were all negative.
The 3 confirmed cases in Miryang and Yangsan are all contacts of confirmed cases from other regions.
Regarding the Kimhae cram school cluster infection involving 25 people, after 9 students and 1 staff member at a local elementary school tested positive, tests were conducted on a total of 405 people, including 322 students and 83 staff members of the school, all of whom tested negative.
Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to 3,378 (3,015 discharged, 349 hospitalized, 14 deceased).
