[Breaking News] 78 More Vaccine Adverse Reactions Reported... 1 Anaphylaxis Case and 1 Severe Suspected Case Added

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] The number of cases reported to health authorities in South Korea suspected of adverse reactions after COVID-19 vaccination has increased by about 70.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team announced on the 18th at midnight that there were 78 new cases reported of adverse reactions following vaccination.

Among them, one additional suspected case of severe systemic allergic reaction, "anaphylaxis," was reported. The vaccinated individual received the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine, and health authorities will evaluate the causal relationship with the vaccination later.

One more severe suspected case involving convulsions and ICU admission was also added. This case also involved the AstraZeneca vaccine. The remaining 76 cases were mild symptoms commonly occurring after vaccination, such as muscle pain, headache, fever, chills, and nausea.
