Seoul Chamber of Commerce Appoints Heo Beom-mu, CEO of Gowunet Co., Ltd., as Chairman of Seoul Economic Committee

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Choi Tae-won) announced on the 16th that Heo Beom-mu, CEO of Gowunet Co., Ltd., has been appointed as the 6th Chairman of the 'Seoul Economic Committee.'

Established in 2003, the Seoul Economic Committee is composed of the chairpersons of chambers of commerce from 25 districts in Seoul. It supports business activities such as improving the rights and interests of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Seoul, resolving management difficulties, and proposing policies.

Heo Beom-mu, the newly appointed chairman, has participated in the Seoul Economic Committee since 2018 as the chairman of the Seongdong-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and his term is two years.

Chairman Heo stated, "I will work with the chamber chairpersons to contribute to the local community and revitalize the economy," adding, "I will take the lead in resolving difficulties faced by SMEs and improving the business environment by promoting joint projects in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government."

Six vice chairpersons were also appointed: Kim Nam-jeon, chairman of the Seodaemun-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEO of Dosochulpwan Girinwon), Kim Young-chul, chairman of the Dongdaemun-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEO of Hanseong FI Co., Ltd.), Kim Heung-won, chairman of the Gangbuk-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEO of Hae-min Enterprise Co., Ltd.), Park Jae-hwan, chairman of the Dobong-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEO of Hanyang Automobile Maintenance Co., Ltd.), Lee Jae-heung, chairman of the Mapo-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEO of Eco Valley Co., Ltd.), and Lee Hong-won, chairman of the Gangdong-gu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEO of Refresh Technology Co., Ltd.).
