[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Remedy, a specialized advanced medical device company (CEO Gu Ja-don), announced on the 15th that it plans to promote business cooperation related to radiation medical devices with Israel's Yozma Group.
On the 12th, Gangwon Province signed an investment attraction agreement (MOU) with Yozma Group to support the overseas expansion of Gangwon's bio venture companies, and prior to the MOU on that day, major companies including Remedy, a bio venture company in the province, held an investor relations (IR) presentation for Yozma Group.
Accordingly, Eyal Ehrlich, chairman of Yozma Group, visited Remedy's manufacturing facility for radiation therapy devices for cancer treatment and showed interest in the prototype of the radiation therapy device aimed for commercialization next year.
Currently, due to population aging and an increase in cancer incidence rates, the demand for advanced radiation medical devices is rising, but domestic radiation therapy devices are virtually all dependent on imports. Therefore, the localization of advanced radiation medical devices is considered a long-standing wish of the domestic bio venture industry.
