[Photo] Yudonggyun, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Joins the 'Low Birthrate Overcoming Relay Challenge'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yoodonggyun, Mayor of Mapo District, participated on the 14th in the "Overcome Low Birthrate Together! National Po(4)ham Relay Challenge."

Starting with the Governor of Chungnam Province, this ongoing challenge is a national participatory campaign urging people to join in creating a Korea that "works together, cares together, protects together, and is happy together" to overcome the national crisis caused by low birthrate.

'Po(4)ham' contains a double meaning: the number '4' representing the term 'together' repeated four times, and the Chinese character Po (包) meaning 'include' or 'contain.'

Yoodonggyun, Mayor of Mapo District, stated, "Everyone must take an interest in overcoming low birthrate. I ask for active participation and attention to the National Po(4)ham Relay Challenge. Mapo District will also strive to become a Mapo where it is good to have and raise children! A Mapo where everyone is happy!"

The mayor designated Park Kyumsu, Mayor of Gangbuk District, and Noh Hyunsong, Mayor of Gangseo District, as the next relay participants.
